POLAR BEARS & PRIMALS

I am sorry that I skipped one week on this blog.  Two weekends ago my goal was to get through most of the post ARR (A Realm Reborn) quests.  I did not get far that weekend because I ended the stream early to meet up with friends to create characters for a Pathfinder game that we will be playing soon.  Reader be sure to subscribe to the Zen Bassmasters YouTube page to watch our roleplaying sessions which should be posted by Sunday night each week. That weekend I did manage to defeat Leviathan which is the primal god that the Shagin (fish folk) had summoned.  The battle was not too bad.  But during the cutscene we did see something interesting.  The priest that summoned the beast god was killed but his aether (think sole) immediately possessed another fish man next to him.  Is this how the mysterious Ascians gain immortality? They have figured out some way to transfer their souls?  Another thing I noticed is after the second fish man who was possessed died Leviathan swallowed his soul.  So not truly immortal I guess.  Maybe we need to call in the ghostbusters to trap these Aether Souls before they can posses  another fleshy body.

This last weekend, August 14th, I started the day by doing the Moonfire Festival quest.  The Moonfire Festival is a summer festival.  It is only for a limited time and this year the prize for the quest was a polar bear mount!  The quest was quick and simple and I got my polar bear.  Basically the organizer of the fest wanted to impress festival goers with the best frozen dessert ever created.  He hired the best cook in Eorzea but he needed the best ingredients including ice. The problem is the ship that retrieved the ice mysteriously sunk.  My character rescues the drowning chef and her ice is safe in insulated crates.  The problem is the ship sunk because a Bomb (an explosive creature) had been using that large block of ice as his home.  So I had to slay the bomb thus saving the festival and also the greatest frozen desert in Eorzean history.  After doing that fun little quest I continued main story line quests and those led me to a big battle with Ramuh. It was a tough one but I did it!  I then continued the main story quests until they lead me to a dungeon named Snowcloak.  I ended the night there.  I think that is where I will end this blog also.

Once again thanks to you for reading this meditation!
