Voyage of the Ardent Citadel Week 9

The Ardent Citadel remains in orbit above Grea Hypooe Xy-R B21-0 4A, one of a pair of co-orbiting water worlds. Despite warnings from our medical and exploration chief officers the crew have begun taking advantage of the downtime by shuttling down to the surface of 4A to “fish,” which, given the mega-fauna now known to be present in 4A’s seas, often equates to “running.” Fortunately, the crew have only suffered minor casualties, but our biological teams are working overtime to catalog the planet’s life as well as identify any potential hazards should one of the crew decide to actually go swimming without their exploration suit fully sealed—or even being worn.

Mining operations have been going slowly. A few CMDRs have donated a small amount of Tritium but the carrier’s tanks are almost as deep as the seas of 4A. Many CMDRs have agreed to participate in a mass mining expedition on May 30, 3308, and we will see how much of a dent we make.

For now, all is well. The crew needed the break to be sure, and maybe our CMDRs did too. And, with any luck, assuming bioanalysis clears it as safe to eat, we might have mega-shark steak dinners for the next several weeks.
